Ginger, such an interesting ingredient and how in the world do you use it?
To peel ginger, take the edge of a spoon and scrape off the thin skin. Now the ginger is ready to use. If you are using it in a stir fry, like the Sesame Ginger Pork, you can finely dice it. If you are putting it in something where you just want the flavor of the ginger and not the texture, like soup or tea, just slice it and add the slices. After the ginger has steeped you can remove the slices.
For many years, I didn’t care for the taste of ginger. But, now after a few years of eating it and continuing to try it, I have grown to like it. Plus, it has many health benefits like anti-nausea, anti-inflammatory, and helps your body heal from illness and pain, so I feel very healthy when I cook with it.
