  1. Heat a sauté pan on medium high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Put the chopped salmon in the pan and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth with a hand held mixer on low speed. Add the lemon zest and juice and mix with a spoon until incorporated. Fold in the salmon, chives, and basil.
  3. Keep covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Spread over crackers, baguette, or bagel chips.
